A Kyoto Spring

It was quite a few years back but I do remember the quiet streets, the serenity of the city at dawn and dusk, and the sound of a gurgling stream that started right outside the Ryokan and seemed to follow us whenever we went.

To a tourist, it really is a city of night markets, welcoming people (even cab drivers, to our pleasant surprise!), beef noodle soup, and tons of beautiful cafes. Point to note - in December, be prepared for a never ending drizzle.
